The September 26, 2015 Taste of the Bayou appeared to be a great success with all tables filled to capacity and about 20 teams sharing everything from deep fried gumbo to fried strawberry cheese cake.
In between those extremes were several kinds of gumbo, shrimp and spinach lasagna, Cajun corn with roasted caramel and tequila sauce, Big Buckin' Nachos and the best crab dip ever.
The Taste of the Bayou is produced annually by the Bayou La Batre Area Chamber of Commerce.
