Though the skies threatened a deluge at times, nearly 400 children and countless parents and other adults enjoyed the 2nd Annual Kids' Day at Tillman's Corner on Saturday, July 25.
Youngsters jumped in the Bounce House, they petted goats and fed geese at the petting zoo, they felt their own power when they stopped the little red fire truck by standing in front of it and watching it open and close its eyes.
There was plenty for adults to see and do, as well. The sometimes cloudy afternoon actually cooled the temperature, and grown-ups learned of volunteer opportunities in such programs as Bay Area Food Bank's Community Garden and Keep Mobile Beautiful.
