The 30th Annual "Christmas through the Ages" is Saturday, December 6, at Fort Gaines historic site on Dauphin Island's east end. In this non-commercial Christmas event, visitors will be able to interact with the soldiers and their families, and children will have the chance to make a seashell ornament and other decorations.
Other activities taking place at the Fort include blacksmithing demonstration and live music by the Kracker Dan Band. Fort Gaines is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and general admission rates apply.
Tickets are available in the Fort’s gift shop; adults pay $6 and children $4.
