![]() Mobile County Master Gardeners 4th Annual Farm to Table Tasting event is planned for Monday, June 1, 6-8 p.m. at Five Rivers Delta Hall in Spanish Fort. Tickets are $65 per person and will offer guests "a delicious and varied tasting--more than a meal," said Chair Brenda Bolton. In addition to foods from a dozen local chefs, Farm to Table will also include a wine bar and music on the veranda. The Mobile County Master Gardeners is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization. The purpose of their Farm to Table iniative is "to promote and connect local growers and chefs to make lasting commercial relationships possible, and (to) educate the public about the healthy and delicious results of fresh, local and seasonal eating." Restaurants and chefs partnering with MCMG to prsent this event are, in Mobile, Bay Gourmet, Bistro Escoffier, Chef Rob & Co., The House Restaurant and Bar, Kitchen on George, Mediterranean Cafe, The Noble South, Red or White, Serda's Coffee Company, Alabama Cooperative Extension System and Derailed Diner. And from Fairhope, Eat Peacefully, Isabella's and Little Cake Shop Farmer/producer partners include Oak Hill Farm and Sessions Farms in Grand Bay; Jeta Farms, Elberta; Ken Buck Farm, Irvington; End of the Road Farm, Summerdale; Ornamental Horticulture Substation, Mobile; Local; Appetite Growers, Faihope and Powell's Blueberry Farm in Citronelle. Other sponsors include United Johnson Brothers of Alabama, Alabama Ag Credit, Old Shell Market, Burris Farm Market, Fresh Market, Jack's Produce and Publix.
