The 55th Annual Miss Seafood pageant, with 71 girls participating, was held Saturday, February 21, at Alma Bryant High School Winners were as follows: Baby Miss Seafood-Brystol West; Toddler Miss Seafood-Braylee West; Petite Miss Seafood-Alyse Havard; Little Miss Seafood-Lauren Fridley; Junior Miss Seafood-Mackenzie Leeser and Miss Seafood-Natalie O'Neal.
According to pageant director, Diane Cordelle, the girls not only represent the seafood industry at events around the state, they also contribute to community service and volunteer projects. For example, in March, they are collecting items for residents in the Grand Bay Convalescent Home, and on the 29th, they'll deliver the items, entertain the residents and present a beauty parade.
