One aspect of the January 24th Semmes Camellia Festival is the exhibit of original artwork featuring camellias. The Festival takes place in the conference/meeting room at Semmes Public Library, 9150 Moffett Road; the art display is in the Semmesonian Art Space at the front of the library.

In the photo above is an origami camellia piece, "Papering Winter Dreams", created by Mary Rodning, volunteer curator at the Semmesonian.  Also in the photo, provided by Diane Moore, is a painting of a red camellia, "Red Beauty," by Elizabeth Barnes.

The Festival is presented by Alumni & Friends of Semmes School, Inc. and Mobile Public Library.
