Dodge Elementary School staff, faculty, parents and student council prepare a meal for, and visit with, residents at Ronald McDonald House
On Thursday evening, January 21, members of Dodge Elementary School's faculty, staff and student council, along with some parents, prepared a meal for residents at Ronald McDonald House, then stayed to share some time with them.
For Dodge bookkeeper, Penny Thompson, the activity was "a rewarding experience." At Dodge Elementary, she said, "We deal with healthy children every day," and "knowing that we brought joy to these parents (whose children are and hospitalized) warms my heart. Caring and sharing is such a pleasure, and it really makes a difference for those in need."
Reading Coach Cathy Alexander said that she "loved having the opportunity to help others because of my own personal experience. My second child spent 3 weeks in the NICU and I know how much it means."
Representatives of the school also presented RMH with numerous drink can tabs.
