Mobile's Historic Bragg-Mitchell Mansion, 1906 Spring Hill Avenue in midtown Mobile, is presenting "Tea at the Mansion" on Friday, March 13, 1-4 p.m. Admission for the fundraiser is $12 for adults and $8 for children 12 years old and younger.
The tea will be in the lavish Southern-style offering delicious treats in a setting reminiscent of days gone by. The event also includes a tour of the home; the gift shop will be open so visitors can stock up on unique gifts. All proceeds help support the continued preservation and operation of Bragg-Mitchell Mansion.
In a press release from Bragg-Mitchell, tea organizers remind us that "Each year, Mobile's exciting and colorful history is celebrated during March. To mark this season, historic homes open their doors for everyone to glimpse the grandeur or simplicity unique to the antebellum South." Tea at the Mansion is planned to coincide with Mobile's Historic Homes Tour March 13-14.
