Get ready to welcome the camellia season: Semmes Camellia Festival is January 24 at Semmes Public Library
The Semmes Camellia Festival is Saturday, January 24. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Semmes Public Library, 9150 Moffett Road at McCrary Road. Visitors can see spectacular camellia displays, camellia table-scapes and original camellia artwork. In addition, the three new Camellia Maids will be on hand to greet the public.

The Semmes Camellia Festival has a long history in a town filled with nurseries. It began in 1949, and was revived in 2013 to celebrate the city's heritage. The event is sponsored by Alumni & Friends of Semmes School, Inc. and the Mobile Public Library.
