The Port City Craftsmen Fall shows have brought fine quality crafts to Mobile for 45 years. But members also embrace their civic duty and, among other activities, they make financial and material donations to area non-profits.
The gifts, which are made quarterly, are primarily local, rather than national charities.
One donation this past year went to One Meal and another to HalfWay Home. The gifts will go a long way toward One Meal's ministry of feeding 150-250 downtown homeless and hungry a Sunday afternoon. or, in the case of HalfWay Home, to keeping a shelter open for homeless families.
Port City Craftsmen began presenting arts and crafts shows in 1972, and have never faltered in their mission of bringing beautiful (or useful), handmade, unique creations to appreciative customers.
The next Port City Craftsmen Show is November 16, 17 and 18 at Abba Shrine Auditorium,
