![]() Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Alabama is hosting more than 240 student volunteers for the months of February through April during their Spring Break. The students are participating in Habitat's national alternative Break program, Collegiate Challenge. The students are visiting from all over North America, including 11 states and two schools from Canada. HFHSA is working with many local churches and restaurants to house and feed these students while they help build safe, decent, affordable houses for our community. As a matter of information, over the past 27 years, Habitat has built, rehabbed and repaired 300+ homes throughout many neighborhoods in southwest Alabama in partnership with generous donors, volunteers and families. Families repay an affordable mortgage to Habitat, financed at no interest. Those funds are then reinvested to help serve additional families. For more information, contact HOHSA, Ira Bates, Jr., Development Director, (251) 476-7171, ext. 232 Comments are closed.
