Based on the book by P. L. Travers and the movie produced by Disney Studios, Mary is a super-nanny who flies in with her umbrella in response to the request of the Banks children. She proceeds to put things right in the household with the aid of her extraordinary magical powers. This fun-filled musical is a guaranteed audience pleaser.
The role of Mary Poppins is double-cast with Lydia Henry and Isabelle Rutens taking turns in making things better in the Banks household. Chimney sweep Bert is played by Jackson Gardner. The Banks family members are portrayed by Frank Deming and Payton Brook Fulford as parents George and Winifred Banks, Bella Heyer as Jane and Evie Frey/Emily Dickson as Michael.
Other characters and the actors who fill the parts include the Bird Woman, Jensen Sirmon; Bank Chairman, Drew Rutens; Katie Nanna, Aryn Carr; Annie, Makensey Alford; Mrs. Corry, Kennedy MacDonald; Fannie, Elyssa Musial; Miss Andrew, Jordan Nocon; Mrs. Brill, Callie Singletary; Policeman, Zack Jones; Robertson, Brandon Bone and Park Keeper, Ethan Chappell. There is also a large cast of dancers and another of singers.
The play is directed by Danny Mollise with scene and costume design by Pamela Mollise and Zac West. Matthew Kiel is in charge of choreography.
