Mavis Jarrell, poet and author, will appear at March 6th Dauphin Way Baptist Church Spring Expo 20152/26/2015
![]() Mavis Jarrell, a Mobile area poet/author has joined the ranks of writers appearing in the 6th Annual Dauphin Way Baptist Church Spring Expo 2015 on March 6th. Jarrell has had short stories published in "Chicken Soup For The Soul: It's Christmas" and "Chicken Soup For The Soul: The Power of Forgiveness." These publications will be available for sale at the Expo. Jarrell is recently retired from the University of South Alabama where her years of student guidance enhanced her abilities to help others reach goals. Through the years as a volunteer with multiple non-profit organizations, including a divorce recovery program, and The Pensters, a writing group, she continues to spread her philosophy that overcoming life’s challenges makes us stronger. One of her goals is to help others discover their potential. Jarrell, who writes under the name of M.M. Jarrell, will join other writers, Betty Spence and Joan Malone, who will exhibit along with approximately 125 other vendors, artists and crafters and information providers.
