The day will begin with a clean-up procession, in which a band, neighborhood children and community members will kick off the event with a short parade. Then it's on to ridding the Maysville streets of trash.
Keep Mobile Beautiful will provide gloves, water, trash grabbers and clean-up bags. However, Phyllis Wingard, outreach director for KMB, stressed that this an annual community project, planned and carried out by the Maysville residents who come together to beautify their neighborhood.
After a morning of removing unsightly litter, volunteers will meet back at the park for a free lunch at noon.
