Monday, July 27th "Cheers to Children" Charity Auction at Cafe 615 will benefit the Child Advocacy Center
The Child Advocacy Center benefit, "Cheers to Children" Charity Auction, is Monday, July 27, 6-8:ep p.m. at Cafe 615 on Dauphin Street. Tickets are $35 each, available at Cafe 615 or at Child Advocacy Center, 432-1101 or www.cacmobile.org. The event features wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres from Cafe 615 and music by the Harrison McGinnis Trio.
The main features of the fundraiser, however, are the not-to-be-missed live and silent auctions.
The live auction includes vacations, art and gourmet dinners. For example, there's the "Atmore Getaway" package with a one-night stay at Wind Creek Casino & Hotel, dinner for two at Fire Steak House, two complimentary cooking studio classes, relaxing spa for two and a weekend stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites.
And then--think celebrations: Caterer Clifton Morrissette is offering "Dinner for ten in your home, 4-course meal, all food and wine included" at a mutually agreed time and place.
The silent auction includes more than 70 desirable items and services. This event is a great time and place to snag Christmas or wedding gifts, or something for yourself. There's a tall antique gold-leaf vase from Zimlich the Florist, a Vera Bradley Travel Bag from The Holiday, a Capiz Mother-of-Pearl chip-and-dip set from M.A. Simons, a Patron Rose Annual Pass Bellingrath Gardens certificate..
Maybe you're already feeling anxious about the holiday rush--Bay Gourmet offers six take-out casseroles to help you feed the family after a day of shopping. And if you have guests coming into town for a wedding or other special occasion, set them up with a 2-night weekend at Towne Place Suites Marriott and entertain them with a play at Joe Jefferson Playhouse (Jason McKenzie has donated two passes for five performances at JJP) or the Mobile Symphony.
There are far too many auction items to mention! For more information on the event, to reserve tickets or to learn more about the Child Advocacy Center, call Elaine Henderson, 432-1101.
