The November 21st meeting of Mobile County Municipal Association was hosted by the City of Satsuma at Steele Creek Lodge.
President Lee Anne Greene called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. Satsuma High School JROTC posted the colors and those present offered the Pledge of Allegiance. Satsuma High School Jazz Band provided the musical entertainment for the evening.
Mayor Tom Williams welcomed the assemblage and gave the invocation before all enjoyed a dinner catered by Stoney's with desserts by Satsuma High School Culinary Team.
Judge Brandy Hambright installed the new officers: President, Allison Reese; Vice President, Joe Beaty; Secretary, Tara Holland; Treasurer, Earle Connell and Chaplain, David Ferrell.
Incoming president, Allison Reese, presented a plaque of appreciation to outgoing president, Lee Anne Greene.
Mayor Tom Williams introduced guest speaker, Ricky Mitchell, Chief Engineer of Public Roads Rebuild Alabama Act 2019-2. An additional guest speaker, introduced by President Allison Reese, was Anna Katherine Ray, Executive Director of Girls on the Run Gulf Coast.
Items of old business discussed were MCMA dues and charities to send annual donations. New business included the 2020 calendar, roll call, announcements and door prizes.
The next meeting is Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 7 p.m. at Saraland Civic Center, 716 Mae Street.
