It's the most wonderful time of the year! The 24th Magic Christmas in Lights season opens on Friday, November 29, and continues nightly from 5 to 9 p.m. through Dec. 31. For Gulf Coast families, it's a special holiday tradition to stroll among the 3 million lights in 15 scenes across the 65-acre estate.
There's so much to see and do at Magic Christmas in Lights. Visit with Santa himself and take photos with the Jolly Old Elf in the Magnolia Café. Enjoy libations and savor delicious hot meals during the Café's extended evening hours. (View menus online) Take an evening tour of the beautifully decorated Bellingrath Home. Stop for a cup of hot cocoa or for an adult beverage on Live Oak Plaza and hear Christmas music from talented local musicians and choral groups. Magic Christmas in Lights FAQs
Q. How much are tickets, and how can I get them?
A. Tickets are $16 for adults, $8 for ages 5-12 and free to Bellingrath members and to ages 4 and younger. You may purchase tickets in advance by clicking here, or you may buy them at the Admissions building when you arrive. Please note: You may order tickets over the phone by calling 251-973-2217 before 2 p.m. daily.
Q. Are there discounts for members of the military?
A. Yes. We will have a 15% discount for members of the military (veterans and active duty) and their families on Military Mondays during the season: Dec. 1, 8,15, 22 and 29.
Q. Is Magic Christmas in Lights accessible for wheelchairs?
A. Yes. Also, wheelchairs and wagons for the little ones are available for a $5 rental fee on a first-come, first-served basis.
Q. When is the Bellingrath Home open for tours?
A. The Home will have guided tours every hour on the hour from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and then every 30 minutes after 4 p.m., with the last tour at 8:30 p.m. The last Home tour ticket is sold at 8 p.m. Tour tickets are $10.
Q. When is the best time to visit Magic Christmas in Lights?
A. The first three weeks of the season are a great time to visit, because that's when our holiday concerts take place, and our guest traffic is much lighter than in the final week before Christmas.
