Pilots for Christ, a 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization based in Monroeville, is a non-denominational ministry that provides, free of charge, transportation to appropriate facilities for those in critical need medical attention and who are physically unable to travel by other means. The ambulatory patients must have permission of their doctors to travel.
Pilots for Christ, established in 1994, serves the southeast U.S. They subsist solely on donations and grants; they receive no government funding, nor are they reimbursed by insurance.
