At noon on February 11th, Saraland Area Chamber of Commerce president, Sheron Atwell, called the monthly meeting to order and welcomed members and guests.
Mark Messick of Redemption Church gave the invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Pres. Atwell thanked the caterers, iCater. James Thomasson, whose company, Accelerated Accounting, sponsored the luncheon, gave a short presentation about his company and its services.
President-Elect Thomasson introduced Keynote Speakers Joe McEnerney, NXT Soft; Andy Odle, Wilkins Miller; and Christopher Williams, Hand Arendall Harrison Sales.
The speakers gave examples of area businesses who security had been breached and gave some warning signs to look for. They also gave tips on what companies can do to keep their private information private.
James Jewell, Special Agent in Charge of Mobile area FBI offered information and advice pertinent to cyber security and other types of crimes.
Before adjourning the meeting, Pres. Atwell recognized guests and first-time visitors. And Chamber Executive Director Shilo Miller made several announcements, including various ribbon cuttings for new businesses, that Saraland's Mardi Gras parade is February 22 and that Bama Auto Parts was named Small Business of the Month February 2020.
