Save the Date: Azalea City Quilters Guild biennial show is April 17 and 18; they will also have an exhibition at Dauphin Way Baptist Expo Friday, March 6, and at Friends for Satsuma Schools SwampFest, Saturday, March 7, 2015
It's not too early to draw a big red circle around April 17 and 18 and save those dates. The Azalea City Quilters' Guild will present its biennial quilt show, "Festival of Quilts 2015--The Art of Quilting," on Friday, April 17, 10 a.m.-6 p.m,, and Saturday, April 18, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
The show will be at Mobile Civic Center Expo Hall, 401 Civic Center Drive, Mobile. Admission is $6, parking is $5 and the venue is handicap-accessible.
More than 300 quilts will be on exhibit, including antique and modern quilts. There'll be a Merchants Mall, a boutique, a Chinese Auction, some on-going workshops and classes. In addition, visitors can purchase tickets on an opportunity quilt, and a National Certified Appraiser will be on hand to make quilt appraisals.
The Azalea City Quilters will have a small exhibit at Dauphin Way Baptist Church Spring Expo on Friday, March 6, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and at Friends for Satsuma Schools SwampFest on Saturday, March 7, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Tickets to the quilt show will be available for purchase, and members will be on hand to offer information about the Guild, which was founded in 1980 and is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization.
