Under the direction of Dr. Sharee Broussard and Janden Richards of the Communications, Fine and Performing Arts Division of the college, 13 posters were created depicting the students' concept of a quilt show design. All 13 posters will be on display at the quilt show. However, the two designs selected by ACQG were those of Jordan Travis for the large media piece (pictured) and Kamrey Nichols for the small media piece.
At the April 17-18 show, more than 300 quilts will be on exhibit, including antique and modern quilts. There'll be a Merchants Mall, a boutique, a Chinese Auction, some on-going workshops and classes. In addition, visitors can purchase tickets on an opportunity quilt, and a National Certified Appraiser will be on hand to make quilt appraisals. . Admission is $6, parking is $5 and the venue is handicap-accessible.
