Table-scapes are a beautiful part of Semmes Camellia Festival, coming January 24 to Semmes Public Library
The beautiful table-scapes at Semmes Camellia Festival tell a story or paint a scene, always using camellias as a visible presence within the context of the presentation. In the photo from 2014 Camellia Festival, Carolyn Owens of Semmes discusses her 'scape, which honored her mother, with Mobilian Vecie Tait.
This year's Camellia Festival is Saturday, January 24, 10 a.m. at Semmes Public Library, 9150 Moffett Road. Camellia growers are invited to show their blooms and dozens of displays will delight visitors with the many variations of camellias.
Also featured at the Fest is a Camellia Art Show in the Semmesonian, the art space just inside the library doors.
