“Testing for PFAS in Mobile Bay and Alabama waters and the Risks of these Chemicals!” a presentation with discussion by Michael Freeman, President of the Alabama Water Watch Association, and with Auburn University Environmental Health and Safety is scheduled for Tuesday, September 3, 6 p.m. at 5 Rivers, Alabama's Delta Resource Center, 30945 Five Rivers Blvd. (entrance is across from Meaher State Park on the Mobile Bay Causeway.)
Michael will provide answers to questions surrounding PFAS, and will discuss the routes of contamination, the effects these chemicals have had on humans, drinking water, and what the Federal Government is trying to do in response to this new “pollutant.” Refreshments will be served at 6:00 p.m. and the program will begin at 6:30 p.m.
