Congratulations to the Village of Spring Hill, the recipient of Project of the Year Award for the roundabout on North McGregor Avenue and Museum Drive; the award is from the Mobile Area Council of Engineers (MACE.)
The $1.4 million-dollar project was the vision in The Village of Spring Hill Master Plan (The Blueprint for Spring Hill.) This prestigious award was presented to Volkert Engineering for design services for the Village of Spring Hill project, which totally transformed a dysfunctional intersection and which remains the only roundabout in the City of Mobile on a city street.
City Council member Gina Gregory and County Commissioner Connie Hudson, whose support was essential to the success of this project, attended the award ceremony in support.
Each year MACE recognizes excellence in achievement and outstanding accomplishments of engineers in Mobile.
