Members and guests of the Tillman's Corner Area Chamber of Commerce met for lunch November 5 at Tillman's Corner Community Center. A crowd of 50+ enjoyed a Thanksgiving meal of turkey and dressing prepared by The Wilton Caterer.
Among the speakers were Abbie Lee Deese of Bishop State Community College's GED program; Tina Poiroux, Center Director, who encouraged those present to create a Christmas wreath to be sold with proceeds benifitting the Chamber's needy fasmily program; and Richard Lindsey, CPA, who spoke on some of the new tax laws.
Attendees included Dena Pigg, president of Bayou La Batre Chamber of Commerce and former president of Tillman's Corner Chamber; State Auditor Jim Zeigler; Pam Millsaps, Larry Kent, Carolyn Cain of Mobile Country Music Association; and aBayou La Batre Mayor Brett Dungan and his assistant, Wanda Overstreet (pictured.)
