On Sunday, March 22, 1-4 p.m., the History Museum of Mobile, 111 S. Royal Street, will mark the 5th anniversary of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill with a reception and art exhibit. More than 20 local artists will lend their works to this exhibit, entitled "What's at Stake?" The event is designed to remind visitors of the beauty and the uniqueness of the Gulf region, and the necessity of its protection.
Featured artists include Lynda Smith Touart, Roy Walters, Lynn Jordan, Carmel Alvis, Robert Schroeter, Ainsley McNeely, Mike Carmichael, Mary & Dannie Pettway, Susan Steber Kangal, Frank Ledbetter, Hunter Cobb, Deanna Cobb, Terry Hartley, Spence Harrison, Mary E. Rodning, Doris Amster, Brad Robertson, Jason Guynes, Jackie Davidson, Devin Ford and Joan White-Spunner.
